Whitney Elizabeth Houston is a singer from Newark, New Jersey on the 9th August 1963. The parents of her are gospel singers Cissy Houston(n e Emily Lee Drinkard) and John Russell Houston Jr. Whitney's cousin Dionne Warwick sings as well. In Newark Whitney started singing in the church choir in the early years of her childhood. When she was 15 years old, she accompanied her mother backing vocals in Chaka's smash Im Every Woman from 1978. In the year 1981, she worked as a fashion model, and was featured on the Seventeen cover. Also, she provided backing vocals to Lou Rawls and Jermaine. She began working as a featured vocalist for the funk group from New York, Material and it was the excellence of her vocal work with them that attracted the attention of major record companies, such as Arista who signed her in 1983, and with whom she would remain for the remainder the duration of her career. Whitney Houston was her debut album. Whitney Houston was released in 1985 and became the biggest-selling album of a debut artist. On the album, she came out with several hits including Saving the Day, All My Love for You How Will You Know That You're Good to Love? and The Greater Love of All. This resulted in her having seven US Number Ones consecutively. She beat even the Beatles. It sold three million copies during its initial year, and 25 million globally. Her first six Grammys. The album Whitney, released in 1987 and featuring the smash singles How Do Broken Hearts go? and I Wanna Dance With Somebody, built upon her previous success. But it was The Bodyguard (1996) that cemented her position as one of music's best sellers. While the movie itself and her performance in it were not highly praised the soundtrack album and her rendition of Dolly Parton song I Will Always Love You topped the singles and albums charts for months, and was sold at 44 million copies all over the world. Her daughter Bobbi is born the month of March of 1993, the year following her wedding to Bobby Brown. About this time her well-documented drug use started and in 1996, she had been using drugs on a daily basis.
Dana Bash is also known as Dana Ruth Schwartz and she has a job at CNN as both a reporter, anchorwoman as well as a political correspondent. She produced several weekend shows on the network, which include Evans & Novak: Late Edition" and Inside Politics." She worked previously for NBC as well as CBS.
